Despite the smoldering heat it was a great Monday! I'm pretty sure I heard a few kids say it was "the best day ever" . Wrapping up our paleontology unit this week, we did a special activity. The teacher put together imitation sites for each student. They marked off a grid, dug out their fossils and dusted them off, then drew them on a hard copy grid. The class was stoked for this activity, it was a good time had by all.
After spending last week getting to know one another, adjusting to our environment and discussing the rules and expectations, we jumped into our "normal" routine today. The class worked through their stations and enjoyed doing their choice activities for each primary subject.
